After released two stunning singles in ‘Turtle Bay’ and ‘A Sadder Sound’, Surrey-based indie dream-pop outfit Softer Still released their debut album Nuances. Rising stars of the shoegaze scene, this is a concert not to be missed.
Nuances is packed with full of imaginative soundscapes, with nods to progressive rock and metal to 80’s and 90’s guitar music throughout.
Having been compared to the likes of Wild Nothing, Beach House and Galaxie 500, the four-piece have continued to live up to their lofty peers with their first full-length body of work. Nuances continues the band’s ascent, cementing their brand of superior, polished and vulnerable dream pop as one that should be turning heads at every opportunity.
With a timeless, classic shoegaze sound there is no wonder that the band are personal favorites of the legendary DIIV. 2019 is looking like bringing even more column inches for a band that’s already being co-signed by some of the genres’ biggest stars.
