Japanese cocktail bar Mokihi sets itself apart from the crowd with bartenders who give the impression they’d rather walk the streets than serve a high-end Japanese whisky with an amateurishly hand-chipped ice-ball.
Their wasabi martini wafts away a whiff of gimmickry with a well-handled combination of strong flavours and a lovely green finish. Japan meets Brazil in a caipirinha that trades cachaca for Okinawan rum, a curious spirit whose
rambunctiousness is barely tamed by the guidance of coarse sugar. Numerous other creations both original and tried-and-tested are assembled in front of anyone propping up the bar.
One of Beijing's most unusual bars!
