We're growing shorter and shorter of choice for hip hutong hangouts these days, and particularly ones with such audaciously anti-la mode, fully glass-fronted exteriors. A roomy, open space with a turbo-minimalist bent, Such a Café is decked out with light wood, polished concrete walls and a large bar that offers plenty of seating and some good, if a little pricey brews.
From bar stools to tables to benches to window-gazing perches, seating choices are varied, though a little austere (all about the aesthetic, right?), so it might not be the most comfortable spot to settle down and bury your noggin in a mountain of work. (Reliable WiFi, plentiful plug sockets and generally low noise levels might tempt you laptop slaves back in though.) In any case, it's a top-notch choice for a coffee and cheesecake stop-off, in an area where coffee and cheesecake culture has taken such a hit of late.
