Located next to the China Tibetology Research Center, the Museum of Tibetan Culture houses two permanent exhibitions. The first exhibition, to the left as you enter, is by far the more interesting - explaining the historical development of the Tibetan region through various artefacts such as peace treaties, seals of the Dalai Lama and traditional Tibetan robes. The second exhibition, which covers recent Tibetan history since the founding of the People's Republic of China, is in Chinese only, but the museum is worth a trip for the vibrantly coloured robes alone.
Don't miss: The seals of former Dalai Lamas.
Estimated time: One hour.
English provisions First exhibition has limited English descriptions and intros; the second has none.
