For those heading to Tianjin soon and haven't checked out any of Beijing's tropical botanical gardens, you could also consider checking out the Tianjin Tropical Botanical Garden.
Covering an area of 40,000 square meters, the Tianjin Tropical Botanical Garden is the largest tropical plant sightseeing garden in Asia, comparable to the UK's famous "Eden Garden". It is also home to more than 3,000 kinds of tropical plants in various provinces and cities in the south of China, making it a natural oxygen bar and a suitable place to take the kids out for a stroll.
There are also many cartoon shapes in the garden, such as the Smurfs, some bears, bees and more, a perfect background for family photos. There are also carousels, small trains, pirate ships, slides and more.
Tickets cost 60RMB for an adult, 40RMB for disabled, senior citizens above 70 years old, and free for children under 1.2 metres.
