Providing a window into the many cultures of China, this small university campus museum showcases the clothing and jewellery of China’s 56 ethnic groups. The museum is largely divided into three sections: traditional dress (especially from groups in Yunnan, Guizhou and Tibet), intricate silver jewellery from southern China’s Miao groups, and hand-woven textiles and batik. While there’s little signage overall, a photography exhibit by Zhuang Xueban helps give some context by showing the bright ensembles in daily life in ’20s and ’30s Sichuan.

Don’t miss The hall of Miao jewellery, full of sparkling silver and elaborate details.
