It’s unlikely you’ll be able to find 50 Shades of Grey here, but if not reading crap books is your thing, then this shop is definitely worth checking out.
The Book Design Shop isn’t
packed with paper, but we love it for its specialist approach. Taiwanese
owner Tony Li presents a carefully curated selection of China-based and
international publications. Look for Beijing titles like the
multidisciplinary ’zine on Chinese urban spaces Concrete Flux, Bactagon
Project’s biannual art publication Bajia, and food mag The Cleaver
Quarterly. International names include The Gourmand (UK) and Encounters
Li also stocks a handful of non-paper, design-oriented goods like small pastel-coloured pouches from Taiwanese brand HAO Life.
